A DM screen that fills itself in as you play — and starts completely blank.

This is a single self-contained web page you open in any browser. No install, no sign-up, no server, no dependencies. Everything — dice rolls, HP trackers, checklists, notes — lives in this one file and saves automatically to your browser as you go.

It ships empty on purpose. Every location, trap, NPC, and stat block is a labeled placeholder ("Location A," "Trap 1," "Example Monster") that shows you the format and waits for you to type over it. Click anything to edit it. There's nothing to configure before you start — just open it and start filling in your campaign.

What's in it

  • Overview — a campaign-at-a-glance reference table, tone/theme notes, and a lore/mechanic reference section, all editable.
  • Goals & Secrets — sealed player-goal cards (click to flip), with a resolution-reference table that stays in sync. Add or remove as many as you want.
  • Locations — checklist-based location cards with sub-locations (nested rooms/areas, each with their own checklist) and map image upload (auto-resized so it won't blow up your storage). Clone any location to spin up a similar one fast.
  • Traps & Encounters — trap cards with built-in dice rollers, plus multi-stage "encounter courses" with a stage tracker.
  • Random Events — a roll-a-die table with a "used" checkbox on every row so you're not repeating yourself.
  • Climax Tracker — a configurable round-by-round tracker for your big finale, with a recurring-events log and a battlefield reference.
  • Combat Tracker — full initiative order for any fight (not just the boss), with HP bars, quick presets, and one-click "pull in the whole party."
  • Villain tracker — HP, Legendary Resistance, signature ability, legendary actions, a full stat-block reference — plus a lightweight secondary villain/boss slot so a lieutenant doesn't have to overwrite your main bad guy.
  • Stat Blocks — an example block showing the expected format, plus unlimited custom ones with clone support.
  • Party Tracker — an unlimited roster of PCs with HP, AC, Exhaustion, and conditions.
  • NPC Relationships — a reusable trust/reputation challenge tracker plus a roster for where any NPC currently stands.
  • Session Recap Generator — auto-compiles "where we left off" from everything you've checked off, triggered, or tracked elsewhere in the doc. Save one after each session to build a running story log.
  • Notes — DM tips, a generic reference table (reuse it for curses, faction reputation, whatever), and a free-notes box.
  • Backup & Setup — autosave is always on; export/import a full JSON backup any time; one-click Reset Everything to Blank so the same file works for your next campaign — or for a friend who wants their own copy.

Built for actually running the game, not just prepping it

  • Play Mode locks every text field and delete button with one click, so a stray tap mid-session can't overwrite your prep or delete something by accident — while dice, HP trackers, checkboxes, and round counters all stay fully live.
  • Print This Tab gives you a clean, ink-friendly printout of whatever tab is open, with all reference sections auto-expanded.
  • Works on phone, tablet, or laptop at the table.

Yours to keep

Everything saves to your browser automatically — no account required, ever. Export a backup whenever you want a portable copy, hand a campaign off to a co-DM, or just want a safety net.

Compatibility note

Built for 5th Edition (2024 rules). This is unofficial, fan-made software — not affiliated with or endorsed by Wizards of the Coast. It uses only open game mechanics (the SRD 5.2, released under Creative Commons) — no proprietary settings, named monsters, or copyrighted adventure content. Full attribution is included in the app itself (Backup & Setup tab).

Free, always

This tool is free to use, full stop — every feature, no paywall, no locked tiers. If it saves you prep time and you want to toss something in the tip jar, it's genuinely appreciated, but never required.
